Medical Card – Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA)
Parents or guardians in receipt of a Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA) and can now register their child for Medical Card eligibility. The Faythe Medical Centre is now accepting registrations for Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA) Medical Cards.
A Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA) is a monthly payment for a child aged under 16 with a severe disability, who requires on-going care and attention, substantially over and above the care and attention usually required by a child of the same age. It is not means tested.
To register, parents or guardians will need to provide:
- Your and your child’s PPS numbers
- Your contact details
- Child’s date of birth
- The name and address of your child’s GP
If you are registering two or more children, and they attend separate GPs, you must complete a separate registration and select the GP of choice for each child.
