About The Faythe Medical Centre

The Faythe Medical Centre Wexford was established in 1999.In January 2012, we relocated to our new purpose built medical centre, where we continue to provide high quality patient centered healthcare. The Faythe Medical Centre serves the population of Wexford town as well as some of its surrounding areas. The Faythe Medical Centre is committed to supporting the health and well-being of our patients. Our aim is at all times to provide effective health care to the Wexford community in a courteous and professional manner. Patients are treated with dignity and respect regardless of their age, gender, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion. We always welcome their views as this helps us to develop the practice and its services.

Dr. Gráinne Pinaqui

Dr. Gráinne Pinaqui is a Wexford native and completed her secondary school education in the Presentation School. She graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1996. Having completed her internship in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Gráinne then went on to work in various specialties in a number of hospitals to gain valuable experience prior to becoming a GP trainee. These included Neonatology in National Maternity Hospital, Holles St, Paediatrics in Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin , A/E in Beaumont Hospital, Medicine in Wexford General Hospital and Psychiatry in St Senan’s Hospital.

Gráinne completed her GP training on the Swansea Bay GP Scheme in Wales prior to returning home to work in The Faythe Medical Centre in 2002. Gráinne enjoys all aspects of Primary Care and General Practice especially women’s health and paediatrics. She is currently a committee member of the Wexford ICGP faculty.  She is married with two sons.

Dr. Mark McClean

Dr. Mark McClean was born in Enniscorthy. He graduated with honours from University College Dublin in 2005 and with a concurrent honours Bachelor of Medical Science Degree, with a thesis in HIV Prevention. He trained in numerous Irish hospitals including the Mater Misericordiae, St. Vincent’s University Hospital, University Hospital Limerick and the National Rehabilitation Hospital. He has worked abroad in the Royal Perth Hospital, Western Australia and Kitovu Hospital in Uganda. He returned to Ireland to further his surgical training and completed his Surgical Higher Degree (MRSCI) in 2009.   He completed his General Practice training in Waterford in 2013, with diplomas in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Family Planning / Contraception.  Dr. McClean is a qualified Occupational Medicine Specialist, completing his Licentiate in Occupational Medicine in 2016, and provides services to many local and national companies. He is a GP clinical tutor for University College Dublin.  He is a trainer on the South East GP Training Scheme since 2017 and has completed a post graduate diploma (NUIG) in Clinical Education. He is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners, Primary Care Surgical Association and Irish Society of Occupational Medicine.

Melinda

Dr. Melinda Moses McClean

Dr Melinda Moses McClean joined the practice in July 2019. She is originally from Malaysia but graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin in 2009. She initially trained on a medical scheme, then worked as medical registrar and then switched to Southeast GP scheme with a view to remaining in Wexford. As part of her training Dr Melinda has worked in Wexford General Hospital, St. Columcille’s in Loughlinstown, St Vincent’s, University Hospital Limerick and University Hospital Waterford including jobs such as paediatrics, ophthalmology, A&E and psychiatry. She is a member of the ICGP.

Within General Practice her areas of Special interest include general medicine, medicine for the elderly, women’s health (including mirena coil insertions). She particularly enjoys antenatal care and supporting Mum’s in breastfeeding.

Nurse Jennifer Cullen:

Jennifer moved to Wexford from the UK at the age of thirteen and completed her Secondary School Education in the Presentation School. She completed her Nurse Training in St. Vincent’s University Hospital with a Diploma in Nursing Studies from University College Dublin. On graduation as an RGN, Jennifer worked in St. Vincent’s Hospital for several years, gaining experience in many different aspects of Nursing. Jennifer then trained in The National Maternity Hospital where she graduated as a Registered Midwife in 2004. Shortly after she began her career as a Practice Nurse. Jennifer gained several years of experience in General Practice in Dublin before moving to Wexford in 2008. She has an interest in all aspects of Practice Nursing with a special interest in Midwifery & Women’s/Child health. Jennifer is married with three children.
